WEDDING PARTY 2 UPDATE

It’s been almost a year since the romantic

comedy The Wedding Party was released,

becoming the highest grossing Nollywood

movie of all time by a considerable margin.

After a one-minute teaser that got us all

hyped, The Wedding Party 2: Destination

Dubai just dropped its first trailer and we

can barely contain our excitement.

The sequel focuses on the groom’s brother,

Nonso (played by Enyinna Nwigwe), who

has continued his romance with Deirdre

(played by Daniella Down), the bridesmaid

from London.

Nonso proposes by accident, while on a

dinner date, and sets off a chain of events

too powerful to stop. Deirdre’s upper-class

British family is against the pairing, as are

some members of the Nigerian clan.

After a near-disastrous introduction

ceremony in Lagos, both families reluctantly

agree to a wedding in Dubai, setting off

another colourful, chaotic and memorable

journey to everlasting love.

The original movie’s main cast will be

returning, with a couple of fresh faces

including Patience Ozokwor, Omoni Oboli,

Seyi Law, Chigurl and more.

The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai will

hit cinemas on December 15.
